Welcome to the Windsor Whip Works Art Center

Windsor Whip Works Art Center is located in an 1874 Italianate building in Windsor, N.Y.

From 1901 to 1951, the structure was the home of Windsor Whip Works Buggy Whip Factory. Until the advent of the automobile, Windsor had been one of the leading manufacturers of buggy whips in America.

Over the years, the building deteriorated into an eyesore of neglect. In the summer of 1999, Johanne and Bill Pesce purchased the building and restored it to its original Italianate architecture, turning it into an upscale art gallery and vibrant community art center.

A schedule of classes & workshops, seminars, life classes and print making have become a regular feature of Windsor Whip Works Art Center.

In 2008 the Art Gallery became Windsor Whip Works Art Center— a nonprofit organization acting as a visual arts resource for people all ages and abilities, serving Broome and Delaware Counties, as well as Northeastern Pennsylvania.
