Roberto Bertoi

Roberto Bertoia has been a sculptor for over 30 years and a professor of ?Art at Cornell University since 1982. His pieces have ranged in scale from ?smaller investigations into form, material and space, to large-scale, ?public, site-specific work. Working primarily in wood the most recent body ?of work has developed over the last few years and was influenced by ideas ?in Juan Munoz's work. The current work investigates themes of isolation, ?protection, enclosure; the mystery and complexity of the human condition.
